The image stays in the browser flow
When you choose, drop, or paste an image, the file is read by the page and processed by browser code. removebg.lol does not provide an image upload endpoint, and the image is not sent to an application server for background removal.
The resulting PNG is held in the page until you download it or close the page. Object URLs and working image data are released when the tool resets or the page is unloaded.
The first AI run downloads a model
Detailed edge removal uses the browser package @bg0/browser. On its first run, the browser downloads the pinned model files from Hugging Face. The model is roughly 100 to 190 MB depending on the runtime selected by your device.
Depending on how the browser resolves runtime assets, it may also request library files through a CDN such as jsDelivr. Hugging Face and any CDN involved in delivery receive ordinary connection metadata for those requests, such as an IP address and user agent. The image file itself is processed by the page and is not sent to those hosts for removal.
Model files may be retained in the browser Cache API or IndexedDB so the next run can start faster. This cache is model data, not a copy of your uploaded image. Use your browser's site-data controls if you want to clear it.
Page delivery and standard request data
The site is delivered by a hosting provider. Like any public website, requests for the page and static assets can include ordinary connection metadata such as an IP address, user agent, referrer, and timing information in provider infrastructure logs. removebg.lol does not add an image-processing record or account system on top of that delivery.
Analytics, cookies, and accounts
The application does not include an analytics SDK, advertising tracker, sign-in flow, or account database by default. It does not set an application cookie for background removal.
What you control
- Close or refresh the page to release the current working image from memory.
- Download the result only when you are ready to keep it.
- Clear site data in your browser to remove cached model files.
- Use solid-color mode when you need a quick Canvas-based cutout without the model download.
